  1. Alt keys not working in Windows 10 64 bit

    Hi,

I am unable to switch between different apps using Alt+Tab or close any application using Alt+F4 on my PC. The problem I identified is that the "Alt" keys are not working. After doing research on Google found many solutions like uninstalling / updating keyboard drivers, RegEdit solutions (creating AltTabKeys). But none of these is solving my problem.

Checked the key responses from my keyboard through online keyboard checker. All the keys provide a response except the both Alt keys.

However, the Alt keys work just fine through On-screen keyboard. I am able to switch between apps or close the application using Alt from the Onscreen keyboard and then pressing Tab or F4.

Why is that Alt keys are not working despite I have tried all the solutions.

Kindly help. It's very difficult for me to work with Alt+Tab.

    Thanks

    :)

Windows 7 32 bit key valid for 64 bit?

When i ordered Windows 7 when it first came out, it came with both the 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs and one serial. I do not really know if this helps your situation, however, I think that a single key would work for 64-bit and 32-bit as long as it is the same version of Windows (eg. Home Premium).

Alt keys not working in Windows 10 64 bit

    Windows 10 Upgrade 32-bit to 64-bit

So, Windows 10 Upgrade is being rolled out worldwide, and I have 'reserved' my upgrade.

Currently my computer is running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. I'm planning to 'upgrade' it to Windows 10 64-bit (via fresh install, of course).

After reading many references, these will be the steps I'll do:

    1. Let the "Get Windows 10" app upgrade my OS to Windows 10 32-bit
    2. Note the activation key
    3. Download the Installation Media for Windows 10, but choosing 64-bit instead
    4. Perform a clean install
    5. Reactivate using the activation key in Step #2

(Of course I'll backup my data first.)

However, I still have some questions:

    1. On Windows 7, the activation key does not differ between 32- or 64-bit versions. Is it still so with Windows 10?
    2. Will I be able to download a different architecture on Step #3?
    3. Is there anything I need to prepare beforehand?

    Thank you for your assistance.
