Windows 10: alt-spacebar, M to move a window fails moving window above screen

Discus and support alt-spacebar, M to move a window fails moving window above screen in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I need to move a window so the top of the window is above the top of the screen.     alt-spacebar, M to move a window fails moving window above screen


    I need to move a window so the top of the window is above the top of the screen. I do alt-spacebar, M and then the arrow keys move the window, left, right, up, down, just fine. And as long as the top of the window is below the top of the screen, when I press Enter, the window stays where it is.But when the top of the window is above the top of the screen, then when I press enter the window snaps back down until the top of the window is touching the top of the screen ie the whole window is inside the screen. I really do need that the window stays up there with just the bottom showing - how can

    How to "Move" a window in Windows 7?

    Alt+Space then M

    If the window is maximized you might have to press Alt+Space then R. Then Alt+Space then M.

    Can you see the Paint program at all? It may be opened off-screen. The following key combinations can be used to move a window (practice with a Notepad window you can see).

    1. Alt+Tab until the desired window has the focus
    2. Alt+Spacebar
    3. M
    4. Use the arrow keys to move the window
    5. When it's on-screen, press <Enter>
