    I have found recently, perhaps the latest Windows 11 February 2022 updates, that when performing an [Alt]+[Tab] to switch to another application the [Alt] key is also being processed by the application you are switching from. When you [Alt]+[Tab] back to the original application you have to press [Esc] once or twice before you can commence typing in the application.I found the following question, which describes this behaviour, but that question states it only impacts Microsoft Office applications. My recent experience shows it is impacting other applications, for example Notepad++ or even t

    Hi Andre,

    It’s not that it doesn’t show the preview, it’s that it doesn’t automatically switch to the selected application when releasing the alt key.

    For example, I have Firefox and OneNote open, and am working in Firefox as my current application. I press and hold the alt key, then press tab to switch to OneNote. The application selector window appears as expected, except normally when I release alt
    in this scenario, it would automatically switch to OneNote and close the selector window. However, the application selector window now just stays there.

    i always just use the windows key to get back to the desktop [pops up the start dealy, doesn't need anything to alt+tab to]
