Windows 10: Alt-Tab, window movement, system functions suddenly slowed

So recently my Dell G3 running on Windows 10 has gotten substantially slower. Most notably is that alt-tab takes about 6 seconds to actually show me the semi-grid preview of possible windows to switch to, and then the tabbing itself has a similar delay to the point of being unusable. I figured it might have been something wrong with my system when I also saw that the movement of windows to take up one half of the screen did not prompt a choice of the windows to fill the other half, and windows functions such has the start bar, the taskbar, and the setting menu are also terribly slow.Any help w

alt tabbing increases system performance?

Skyrim doesnt work correctly you alt tab, but if you alt tab to it again while the screen is black, it loads up with the windows cursor over the top. If i repeatedly do this, eventually it fullscreens properly without issues. Slightly weird.

 

ALT + Tab not functioning

I suggest you to check if the same issue occurs in safe mode.

Safe mode is a troubleshooting option for Windows that starts your computer in a limited state. Only the basic files and drivers necessary to run Windows are started. The word
Safe Mode appears in the corners of your monitor to identify which monitors mode you are using.

To use a Safe Boot option, follow these steps:

• Press Windows Key + R.
• Run will open, type
  msconfig and hit the Enter key.
• A system configuration box will pop up.
• Click on Boot Tab.
• Select or click the check box Safe mode with networking.
  
• Click on Apply and ok.
• You will then see a restart button. Click it to restart your computer.

Once you are in safe mode check if the issue exist.

Once you completed the steps above follow the below steps on how to go back to normal mode:

• Press Windows Key + R.
• Run will open, type
  msconfig and hit the Enter key.
• A system configuration box will pop up.
• Click on Boot Tab.
• If you see safe mode box has a check mark in it,
  uncheck the safe mode box and hit apply or
  ok.
• You will then see a restart button. Click it to restart your computer.
• When your computer comes back up, sign in and you will now be in "normal mode".

alt + tab not working

Just found a really cool way to make alt+tab INSTANT!!!

In the launch options write the following: -windowed -noborder





This play exactly the same as fullscreen but now you dont have to wait 30 f*@!ing seconds to alt+tab back in!

Also you don't get the little purple/black checkered effect (only in Source games) from alt+tabbing in fullscreen.
