Final posting on thread states "This bug has been fixed as per the latest insider build available." - either misinfo or bug reintroduced.Have updated latest version of windows 10 today will not be migrating to win 11 yet, to minimise risk of affecting my exisitng study packagesIssue appears over all apps have tried - including IE edge.This is seriously affecting my studies and

    INSERT SYMBOLS

    A couple of days ago I asked how to get capital letters with accents (circumflex). I got a very prompt answer suggesting a couple of methods including changing the character code on the symbols submenu. This worked very well but I didn't note the original
    character code which produces most of my commonly used symbols.

    What is this code please and is there a list of alternate character codes together with what symbols they produce?

    How to insert text symbols and special characters in windows

    There are few ways to type symbols in Windows 10.

    1 - Search "charmap" in windows search to find symbols. Character Map app will appear with a list of symbols.

    2 - Use ALT key code to type text symbols.

    3 - You can find almost all text symbols here: Text symbols and special characters
