    hi i tried earlier to access my laptop's hdd using hiren's boot cd but it would not recognize the hdd existence , further googling showed that i need to switch sata mode to ide than rather ahci in bios , despite that forums report this method to be effective it did not change anything in my case , i think its most probably poor compatibility of bios with ide mode , it is actually intel's phoenix bios and the laptop is lenovo and the hdd is hybrid (part ssd and part hdd) so probably it wont work on any lesser mode than ahci , so anybody know of any alternative to hiren's that can access disks of such nature ?

    Computer restarts continuously, Installing Windows page stuck on 64%, then it turns off, turns on, and does that same loop over and over.

    If you have an external hard drive you can copy data over that way. Make a hirens boot cd/usb and run mini windows xp to copy files over to your external drive

    External Hard Drive and Windows 10

    Download an ISO for a Linux rescue disk (there are many) and make media. Start the computer with the Linux disk. The Linux OS runs in memory. It has tools for retrieving files from hard drives. It will find the external HDD even though Windows isn't.
    Right now, Hiren's Boot CD seems very popular.
