  1. Alternative ways to open an application from system tray

I am trying to configure Windows 10 for a client and they are using ScreenConnect for remote access for support purposes. The problem is Windows 10 is in KIOSK mode multi-application provided by the Client, the KIOSK mode hides the taskbar and system tray as well. Now, the problem is once KIOSK mode is initiated even though all the Services for ScreenConnect are working, I cannot open ScreenSconnect UI as to open this I would need to manually launch this program from the system tray. Trying to open this application from the installation folder will only add this to System Tray, which I don't

    :)

    • Press the eject button firmly and quickly. The tray should slide open.
    • Press the eject button a second time to close the disc tray.
If the above steps doesn't work try the below.

    • Open This PC.
    • Right click on DVD drive.

  3. CD tray will not open

Short of buying a new laptop, is there a way to fix this problem?

    You have several options:

    • Straighten a paper clip, then push it into the small hole in the CD tray drawer. This will open the tray.
    • Create a shortcut like this one:
nircmdc.exe cdrom open F:. NirCmd is freely downloadable.
    • Purchase a new CD tray from the distributor. They are easy to replace.
    • Replace the laptop.

Lost clock and calendar from system tray after update on September 25, 2016

    Hi,

There are several reasons why this issue happens. To help you resolve this concern, we suggest that you adjust the height of the system tray. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • Right-click on the system tray.
    • Make sure that the Lock all taskbars
      option is unchecked.
    • Try positioning your cursor at the top edge of the system tray until you see a vertical line with arrows at both tips.
    • Hold the left mouse button down and drag the edge of the system tray upward to expand it.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
