Windows 10: Always close all tabs not working

I use Edge normally and really get annoyed when I close it with the top right hand X and "always close all tabs" comes up.
I tick the box every time and close the browser, but get asked the same question every time. When I close with the top right hand X, I expect the damn thing to close instantly.
Any thoughts?

It may be useful to mention that the registry key related to this registry value "AskToCloseAllTabs" is the following: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\Main.

Just to make sure one does hit the right value.

Always close all tabs??

When you hit the X button on IE with multiple tabs open, you get up a dialog box that asks you whether you want to "close all tabs" or "close current tab". With Edge your options are just "close all tabs" or "cancel". That's a change.

Thanks Caledon Ken, it is the option 1 that does not work, I tick the box every time, but Windows forgets every time.
I haven't tried option 2 yet.
