Windows 10: Am failing to install .net 3.5 on my pc. I tried to install using CMD and offline but none...

I tried to install using CMD but none is working and offline. trying to use all those methods ain't working

Install .NET 3.5 OFFLINE

We have a couple machines that are offline (NOT CONNECTED to the internet) for security reasons, and a piece of software that we are trying to install requires .NET 3.5.

When trying to install .NET 3.5 from the "Turn Windows features on or off" control panel, it only gives the option to "Download files from Windows Update" (which will obviously fail because there is no internet connection) and "Don't connect to Windows Update"
(which just plain doesn't install the required software)

I tried downloading ".NET Framework 3.5" from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=21 but it once again tries to connect to Windows update and after much digging around I found a 231 MB installer called "Microsoft .NET Framework
3.5 Service pack 1 (Full Package) Full Redistributable Package" here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=25150, I thought this has to be it, so I downloaded it, moved it to the offline PC and ran the installer, and the first step
says "Download and install this feature" and cannot continue because there is no internet connection.

Is there no way to install .NET 3.5 without an internet connection on this PC?

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Install Diablo 3 on Linux

Just install PlayOnLinux? Why did they make step 2 and 3 of this "tutorial"?

Anyway, looking at the supported software list for PlayOnLinux, D3 is a step in the right direction. Lack of gaming is a factor for a lot of people when deciding on an OS, if more recent games get ported it may help migrate them to their preferred choice.
