New computers are coming with it, it’s slow as hell, apps are constantly freezing and causing problems such as windows having to close the process to fix it, which is the only way that can be fixed. Even Microsoft apps are slow. There’s no excuse, especially if my ten year old computer can run Windows 11, with no problems as it came with Windows Vista. This is an Alienware laptop with twice as much memory as my Vista CPU and it’s so slow to the point it takes a day to finish a step. I shouldn’t have to install windows vista which is unsupported with no problems because Microsoft can’t get it r

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    Optical Drive Issue

    Hello Anak –

Appreciate your detailed return. Your added steps really helped.

Assuming I did the steps correctly, this is where I am now.

Screenshot 12 shows my CD Disc shortcut on my desktop.
Screenshot 10 shows the CD Drive shortcut listed in the “Send to” listing.
Screenshot 11 shows the “Send to” listing after the steps were taken, but the CD drive name is not listed.

So, it appears the steps did not work for me. And, I did try the steps, “If it still won’t do ……” and still no luck.

    What do you think?

    JerryA

Am I supposed to have issues with Windows 11?

    Windows 11 update issue

I ran PC Health Checkup to see if my laptop meets the requirements for Win 11 update. It says my processor is not supported for Win 11. But looking at this page that PC Health Checkup suggests Windows 11 System Requirements - Microsoft Support my processor is in the list of approved processors Windows Processor Requirements Windows 10 21H1 Supported Intel Processors. It is Intel Core i7-7500U and CPU is 2.70 GHz and dual-core which is supposed to meet the requirement according to the page. My windows edition is Windows 10 Home version 21H1 and my processor is listed as approved for this version.

Other requirement issues are - (i) PC must support secure boot, and (ii) TPM 2.0 must be supported and enabled on this PC. These two issues can be fixed.

Please help with the processor issue. I don't understand why it says it does not qualify when it is listed as an approved version.

    Thank you
