    Every time I'm trying to close a non working app the task manager just join the party and stop working and I have to reset my pc. Every time the task manager is the most worthless app in my pc. It stop working the moment I open it

    Task Manager not working


    Topguncp - I went into Admin Command prompt and followed your three steps which fixed the problem Task Manager now working. Thanks for your assistance. Cheers Am I the only one which the task manager never work :)

    Task Bar, Task manager and apps, all not responding, Windows 10

    step 1 worked a dream. Had earlier tried everything suggested in these forums. nothing had worked to solve the problem. The media creation tool as suggested in step 1 did the trick. - it took several hours, but worth it.

    ps. original complaint - non responding - and task manager - blank or useless.

    It's really weird that the task manager stopped working after the latest update on your Windows 10 computer. There might be some files or data that got affected by the latest update. However, we need these information to isolate your concern:

    • Is there an error message if you launch Task Manager?
    • Have you tried to check in safe mode if it's the same?
    • Does anything happen if you launch Task Manager?
