Windows 10: AmazonBasics Professional Mic 2

Hi,I bought an AmazonBasics Professional Mic 2 a few months ago. I plug the Mic into Mac and Linux machines and it works without an issue.I plug it into a Dell Precision running Win11 and it does not work.Troubleshooter does not detect an issue. Device manager shows it as being installed. I go to Settings --> System --> Sound --> Properties and I see no sound movement. Both the internal mic and a Logitech Mic work with no problems. I've tried uninstalling all mics and reinstalling in different orders with no availDoes anyone have any ideas?Thanks,James

Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

Try these steps and check if the issue will persist.

Open the run command by pressing the Windows key + r. Next type mmsys.cpl on the run command then press enter.

Next, on the new window, click recording.

Next, under recording, you should see your mic with a green check. Double-click your mic to open its properties. Next, click levels tab. Under levels tab, verify if the mic icon is not muted. If it is muted, click it to unmute it.

Check also the privacy settings of the Microphone and see if apps has access to the mic. Follow the steps on this link for that.

AmazonBasics Professional Mic 2

Double-click the amazon mic to open its properties. On its properties, click levels. Under levels check if the volume icon there is muted or not. Also, right-click the microphone array and click enable. Unless you disable it on purpose.

The Logitech mic shown there is the one built-in on your webcam. You can also try to disable it and check if that would make the amazon mic work.
