Windows 10: Ambiguous Device Software Notification

Discus and support Ambiguous Device Software Notification in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I just got a notification which said to finish installing device software.     Ambiguous Device Software Notification


    I just got a notification which said to finish installing device software. How can I find out what device software the notification was referring to? There aren't any yellow flags in Device Manager, and Windows Update and Windows Update MiniTool didn't find any updates.

    Thank you for replying.

    I have run the Account Troubleshooter and, although the wording of the results is somewhat ambiguous, I don't think it found any problems.

    The credentials notification has not come back for nearly 3 days. If it appears again I will create a new account as you suggest.

    Name of User Account

    Simply change your routines to include the system environment variable like:

    %userprofile%/Onedrive/...

    This will protect you from any present or future ambiguity between devices.

    Ambiguous Device Software Notification

    You can take a look at the Reliability History, as well as the Event Viewer and see if there's anything there. Just type each one into your Search window to bring them up.

    I didn't find anything in Reliability History, and Event Viewer has the usual ambiguous error messages.
