Windows 10: Amd R4 graphics driver is causing stuttering. I have tried everything to fix it any ideas.

if someone could link a old version of the amd a4 driver that i could download and install that is compatiable with the cureent windows ten thanks.

I do have Support Assist and I use it quite a bit to make sure my drivers are up to date - that's how I know that the chipset and BIOS firmware drivers are all up to date. When the micro stuttering first happened, in fact, not only did I use Support Assist,
but I also manually checked every single driver to make sure it was updated.

As for rolling back the driver, I'm not sure what you mean. If I follow your instructions and I go to "Let me pick" the only two drivers in the list are the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and the AMD Radeon r4. If I uncheck "Show Compatible Hardware" then
a whole list of AMD Radeon drivers appear (R3, R5, R7, etc.). But none of these seem to be earlier versions of my current driver. If I click on any of them, I get a dialog message that warns me that this driver may not be compatible and may make my computer
unstable or maybe stop working altogether.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Hello and thank you for your reply. Let me answer these one by one:

1) I have updated the drivers (both the Microsoft Basic one and the AMD graphics driver) multiple times. I have even run DDU (in safe mode) multiple times, and either let the computer reinstall them, or manually installed them myself.

I'm not sure how to check the driver versions for chipset and BIOS (I have scrolled through all the driver detail menus and tried to locate a driver on the Dell site) but I have made sure, multiple times, that all of my drivers are up to date, both by using
the systems assistant that Dell provides (tailoring it to my own model) and from within the Device manager.

2 - 3) I'm not sure how to manually find which AMD graphics is for me (there are 4 different AMD Radeon r4 drivers on their site - A6-6310, A6 - 7310, and so on and I don't know what their differences are). So I just used the Auto-Detect Utility - it turns
out that a new version of my driver (A6-6310) came out three days ago! I was pretty excited. I downloaded and installed it and....

No change. Same micro stuttering.

4) I'm not sure how to do this. Yes I can pick which one I want, but it implies that I have the older drivers downloaded, and I'm not sure how I would do that (where to find them, etc.). If you search for a driver, sites don't tend to show you the older
versions. So this is the only thing I haven't really tried because I wouldn't know where to start.

Is there anything I'm missing?

I had the same issue. Latest R4 Graphics driver was causing the freezing. I downloaded the old driver from the dell website. I extracted the package (don't install) and manually selected the .INF file from 2015. PC works great now.
