    AMD Radeon MD 5000 series fails to update correctly and records error 43


    Due to my laptop trying to update Radeon 5000 series, updating to Windows 10 features update 1809 continually fails due other updates trying.

    How cab I stop the Radeon 5000 from my system via ‘ settings. ‘ features and programs ,thus allowing 1809 to install?

    Based on the description, it appears that you are getting an error message "Code 43" for AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series after installing Windows 10. I will be happy to help you with this issue.

    Step 1: I see that AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series is not compatible with Windows 10 Operating System.

    Step 2: As the AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 driver is not compatible with Windows 10 Operating System, I would suggest you to install the drivers in Windows 8 Compatibility mode
    and check if the issue persists.

    Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

    a. Right click the driver installation file and select
    Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.

    b. Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.

    c. Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click
    OK.

    d. Try installing the driver and check.

    Regarding your question, first hide the unwanted update:

    SHOW/HIDE UPDATES IN WINDOWS 10

    Then install the update you want. Finally unhide the Radeon update.
