Windows 10: AMD USB 3.10 Host Controller has stopped Code 43

My HP Pavilion is having a USB issue. I connect my wireless mouse and keyboard adapter into it and neither devices will function. I plug it into another device and it works fine. But both USB's will turn on my ring light. So I am not sure why it will not connect my wireless adapter for my mouse and keyboard.


I have updated Windows fully, updated BIOS and my drivers, and it is still an issue. it was an underlying issue before the updates


I disabled it for a day or so and re-enabled it and the warning symbol went away just for it to come back right after.


I am not sure what to do.

When a hardware device reports to Windows that it has encountered some kind of error, the device manager stops that device and generates the error message ‘Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.
(Code 43)’. The problem is either with device drivers or the device itself.

Error codes in Device Manager in Windows



If you have already tried the steps mentioned in the link or the issue persists after following these steps, please get in touch with the device manufacturer.

USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller stops working, error code 43

Hi there everyone,

My name is Andy. I've been having this trouble with my PC since I got it, this was about 2 years ago. It has been occurring more recently as I bought a HD60s capture card, which runs on USB 3.0.

Basically, I will be using my computer. Trying to record gameplay with the capture card, and suddenly windows decides to stop the USB 3.0 host controller. Where I get error code 43. This wasn't that much of an issue before, but now that I am trying to record
gameplay from my Playstation 4, for my lets plays. It is extremely bothersome.

It stops mid recording some times, without warning. Making it so I have to rerecord things, or edit out where it stops working. It is infuriating to say the least.

What I usually do is, I disable it in the device manager. As it has a yellow triangle with a ! in it, then I enable it. This causes my PC to restart as it crashes during it enabling. When it loads up again, the USB host controller is fine, but it shouldn't
be doing this. I have tried uninstalling it myself, and letting windows reinstall it, I have downloaded the drivers from the Gigabyte website, but the problem still persists. This occurs with anything plugged into the USB 3.0, and it is random as to when it
happens.

If I scan for hardware changes while it is highlighted with the yellow triangle, it disappears.

I really need help with fixing this, I know it's an error with windows 10. I just want it fixed, so I don't have to worry each and every time I record, that it's suddenly going to cut out.

Code 43 USB device not recognised

Thank you for posting in Community, we understand your concern and we will try our best to help you resolve the issue.

Error Code 43 is a Device Manager error that means the following:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43).

When you get this error with USB devices it’s because one of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner. This can be because of corruption in one of the loaded drivers and the driver cache just
needs to be flushed. An alternative to resolve this issue is to perform
Power Drain, to do so follow the steps below

• Unplug the charger and remove the battery of your laptop, if using a desktop remove the power cord.
• Press and hold the Power button for 30sec.
• Plug the charger/power cord and restart system
