  1. AMD Vega M stopped being detected by Windows 10

I am using my HP Spectre-X360 15T laptop for a little over a year now and it was running fine until a couple days ago I discovered it stopped detecting my built-in RADEON RX VEGA M Graphics card. It is like it is suddenly totally missing from the build.

These are the system specs: System Information

The driver settings used to show up under right click options but now it shows the Intel Graphics Settings instead of the RADEON Settings.

The display adapter is missing in Device Manager and also in DirectX Diagnostic Tools

Similarly, it is missing in Task Manager as well

I uninstalled the drivers and tried installing the related drivers from AMD website but they report that no compatible hardware was detected. I used the AMD Auto Detect Tool but it kept crashing.

I have no idea what has happened. Everything was fine just a few days ago. I have provided image links for better understanding. Feel free to ask for any other information.

Thanks! I hope this gets solved.

    :)

  2. AMD Radeon Vega 64 Wattman

I have an AMD Radeon Vega 64 graphics card. I can game on it for 30-120 minutes before Wattman crashes. I have tried installing just the driver, not going to the Wattman page, clean installs, reboots, reinstall of Windows 10 64-bit Pro, and safe mode. Without Wattman installed, I wouldn't get any message. With it installed, I would at least get the message saying that Wattman crashed and returned to default settings. Both ways I would still get a blank screen. Before I would get a grey screen. With the latest driver update, it's a light olive green.

    Build:

    • Asus ROG Zenith Extreme
    • AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX
    • G.Skill 128Gb 3200MHz DDR4 RAM
    • AMD Radeon Vega 64
    • Samsung 970 EVO M.2 2TB
    • Everything is water cooled with temps below 50C

Does anyone have any idea what to do about this?

AMD Vega M stopped being detected by Windows 10

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
