Windows 10: AMDA00 / Atkexcomsvc on fresh install

Hi everyone,

So, after a fresh install I immediately noticed this service running, I know this is Windows 10 pushing Asus crap on me (I own a z97 pro mobo).

My main question is, how can I actually remove this? I know where the service is located, I can just simply remove that folder but what about the AMDA00 in the device manager? Is it safe to just uninstall it? I think this is just a probe thing to be used with Asus Suite which I don't use, nor any other asus software.

If you open the Device Manager and expand "System devices" look for a device called "AMDA00 interface".

Double-click "AMDA00 interface" > Driver

There should be a "Driver Date" and "Driver Version".

If the "Driver Version" is 1.0.1.0 that appears to be the latest.

In the Event Logs you provided there was an error similar to what was reported in the following link (The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&1) hence it may be beneficial to update the driver.

Windows Update problem

Hello, I have been trying to install updates in windows update, but this one still cannot be installed and I do not know why. I was trying to manually install drivers (autodetect) from AMD official site but nothing helped - ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Other
hardware - AMDA00 Interface – Error 0x800705b4 .

 

Hello sptz and welcome to the forums. AtkexComSvc.exe is part of AI Suite and needs to run for AI Suite to function. If you uninstall AI Suite, it should remove it. If not, it most likely runs at startup so you should be able to remove it from startup services, or disable it in services,msc.

Thanks for the reply but as I said on my OP, I did not install any Asus software, neither did Windows, it just installed that driver which comes with that process. There's also no option to remove it from Program and Features
