  1. An easy way to configure Windows 10 Pro to revert back to Wi

I have installed Windows 10 Pro Upgrade on my Surface Pro Tablet. It did not support my wireless card I guess because it does not work. I have tried to installing a fresh copy of Windows 8.1 Pro but Windows 10 will not let me. I have tried a bootable and non-bootable drives neither worked. Is there an easy way to configure Windows 10 Pro to revert back to Windows 8.1 Pro or to configure Windows 10 Pro to accept a new install of Windows 8.1 Pro?

    :)

Is there a quick and easy way to revert back to a previous version of an app that was updated via the Store?

    Hello Barry,

Applications does not have a feature where you can roll it back to the previous version. To assist you with your concern, what we can do is perform a reset or run a troubleshooter to isolate/fix the issue. You can follow these steps:

Step 1: Download and run the
    Windows app troubleshooter.

If you are still having problems, follow step 2.

Step 2: Reset the application that you are having problems with.

    • Go to Settings > System >Apps & Features.
    • Highlight the app that you are having issues with.
    • Select Advanced options.
    • Select Reset.

Note: By doing this, it will clear all the data on the specific application.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.

  3. Is there a quick and easy way to revert back to a previous version of an app that was updated via the Store?

Sometimes an update to an app actually makes the app worse. For example, Movies & TV was recently updated to 10.17032.10341.0 in Windows 10 Version 1607. Now, hovering over an item with the mouse pointer produces an awful effect on that item. Whoever
thought that was an improvement is in the wrong job! Anyway, I regret updating that app and want to go back to a prior version. Is that even possible with UWP apps?

An easy way to configure Windows 10 Pro to revert back to Wi

Hello Philosophaie, and welcome to Ten Forums. *Smile

If you upgraded to Windows 10 and didn't delete the Windows.old folder, then you could use the method in the tutorial below to go back to your previous Windows 8.1 Pro.

There is no way for Windows 10 to block a clean install of Windows 8. You boot from a Windows 8 installation media and you can delete all the partitions on the tablet.

    Hello NavyLCDR,

You can go back using the tutorial I posted above, but yes it won't be a clean install of 8.1. *Wink
