Windows 10: An error occurred while reconnecting to S:\\sharedfolder after putting computer on sleep

I use Windows 10, the latest update with Gigabyte Z690 + Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller NIC. The problem is when I put the computer to sleep and then wake it up, it shows the error, but it could reconnect itself to the shared folder it seems like there is no connection for a second, more or less when waking the PC up. I went through the whole web, and took the following steps: 1. turn off power saving options on the NIC driver2. Disconnected and reconnected the shared drive3. Enabled group policy "Allow network connectivity during connected-standby plugged in"4. Updated the NIC dr

WiFi Cuts Out on Win10--Have to Put Laptop to Sleep to Reconnect!

My ASUS X540S with Windows 10 will connect to my home WiFi fine for about 20 minutes, but will then suddenly disconnect. The name of the home WiFi will still be listed as secure, but when I try to connect to it, I get the message
"Can't connect to this network." The only way to successfully reconnect is to put the laptop to sleep and then wake it up, which is time consuming and frustrating. This problem is exacerbated by temperature change and planes flying
overhead, but I know the problem isn't the WiFi/router because my smartphone is connected to it and experiences little to no interruptions. Any suggestions? Thank you for taking time out to help, it is greatly appreciated!

 

A file that puts the computer to sleep when clicked?

You'll need a third-party tool to put your computer to sleep using command-line.

Try one of the many options discussed here:

How can I put the computer to sleep from Command Prompt/Run menu?

You can use the PsShutdown tool [download] from Microsoft Sysinternals.

The command-line to put your computer to sleep is below:

Computer wakes from sleep immediately after putting to sleep

I understand that the computer wakes up immediately after putting to sleep.

There could be several reasons for the computer not going to sleep mode. To determine which device is causing this, we can run a simple command and check the reason why the computer woke up from sleep mode. To do this refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Type command prompt in the
   search bar on the Taskbar.
   
2. Right click on the command prompt icon and select
   Run as administrator.
   
3. Now, paste the following command and hit Enter:
   powercfg lastwake.
   
4. Share the results of the command.
   

The above command should let us know the device that is preventing the computer going into sleep mode.
