Event ID: 51 An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation in Windows 10.

This Error event indicates that an error was detected on a physical hard disk during a disk paging operation. This problem occurs if an I/O operation to a hard disk is unsuccessful. If an I/O operation to a hard disk is unsuccessful, the Windows operating
system logs Event ID 51 in the System log.

Event 51 ~ Error During Paging Operation

Thank you for the links, must admit i'm still not too sure!
my BIOS is set to AHCI, so i'm wondering why WIn loads up and enables RST. Am i right in thinking it's ok to disble it from Task man and leave it alone rather than trying to uninstall etc?

i need to stop looking at event logs i think, i checked them just now and i've found a couple of the Event 51s that are referencing An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk3\DR3 during a paging operation.
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk3\DR5 during a paging operation.
not sure what the DR difference means?

and i've got a couple of weird Event 40 ones:
"The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in VolumeId: E:, DeviceName: \Device\HarddiskVolume9.
({Write Protect Error}
The disk cannot be written to because it is write protected. Please remove the write protection from the volume %hs in drive %hs.)"

firstly, how do i find Volume 9? i don't have that many in my sustem:




secondly, my E drive isn't write protected, so what is it talking about?
