Windows 10: An error with "\SystemRoot\System32\DRIVERS\fvevol.sys" with Riot Vanguard

This is a valorant related issue, I do not have bitlocker and cant find a way to fix the issue.

An error with "\SystemRoot\System32\DRIVERS\fvevol.sys" (with Riot Vanguard)

Every time I turn on my computer, a message pops up about how Riot Vanguard detected an incompatible software and that I need to remove it.





I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Vanguard and VALORANT, restarted my computer multiple times, and checked for system updates in settings. I've also done a system file check.

 

Error with :\SystemRoot\System32\drivers\DelIRctLsys (riot vanguard).

I’ve seen other people ask about a similar issue but none with the ending as mine. I’ve been able to locate what it’s asking me to delete since riot vanguard has told me there is an issue but I have no idea how to fix it or delete it. I cannot delete the file since it’s running in another application but I do not know what that application is. Please help!!

According to your description, I knew that a third-party software in your system prompts you to find errors every time you boot up, even after you've reinstalled the software and checked for system updates. Is that right?



First of all, FVEVoL stands for BitLocker Full-Volume Encryption Volume-Level Driver, which is a system component related to Bitlocker, you cannot delete this file because it may cause unexpected errors and cause the system to crash.



Also do you encrypt your disk with Bitlocker? Because that might be the reason why the software prompts this error. If there is, it is recommended that you cancel the encryption and see if there is a similar error.

Then just in case, it is recommended that you try to repair/check the system by referring to the scheme below.

1. Repair command

Such a problem may be caused by corrupted system files. You can try the following commands to try to fix it. Please run Command Prompt as an administrator ("Win" logo key + "Q", enter "cmd", select "Run as administrator"), and enter the following command. Maybe require network support, please keep your network connection smooth and stable.

2. It is then recommended that you perform a full scan with Windows defender.
