Windows 10: An idea regarding a new feature in windows 10

You must have seen a small dialog box appears when you take your cursor on a file explorer icon(if you have opened some drives/folders/files earlier). I have attached a picture related to what I am trying to convey here. If you have opened a browser, and then you take your cursor to the browser icon on the taskbar then also a small dialog box open showing you the browser. In the same way, Why not bring a feature in Windows OS like, like if there is a folder on the desktop having a lot of files, then just taking the cursor to that folder a dialog box opens(showing you what is inside that folder) and then we can see what is inside that folder without actually opening it. It will be a very helpful feature. Many times we forget where we kept the file, and we keep opening a folder and then close it if it is not there. But if this feature is brought to reality then without opening a folder we can check(at least guess) if the file is there or not and then we can move to another folder.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
