  1. an occassional click sound when opening a program or scrolling over an ad ...

This is an annoying click sound just one electric sounding click because I never know for sure when it will sound. This isn't a 'Windows' sound per se, this sounds like an electric click and occurs many times per day.

I've Googled this and see that others have the same issue. My sound driver is Realtek, it is working properly, and I have the latest driver.

I've changed the Speaker properties from 24 bit to 16 bit, 44100 since some folks think that might help. It didn't.

At this point I don't know if the cause of the click is purely an audio issue since it seems to occur when scrolling over an ad and might be triggered by the video ?.

I don't know. This isn't a life and death issue. If this is a Realtek issue, I hope an updated driver will fix it.

Incidentally and unrelated, I recently had an issue when the lower left task bar Search didn't 'see' my mouse, also a common issue in Windows 10. Eventually an update fixed it. That's what I'm hoping for the click sound issue.

    Thanks in advance, Dave Horne

Sony Sound Forge 7 won't open since Windows 10 upgrade

Tried to open my registered Sony Sound Forge 7 software program today and realized that since Windows 10 upgrade, like some other software programs affected, this one won't open.

    (1) Tried some of the suggestions in regedit but didn't see all of the Sony entries listed in the steps

    (2) Tried opening with "run as administrator" - didn't work.

    Any suggestions?

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue an occassional click sound when opening a program or scrolling over an ad ... :p
