Windows 10: An update done to my system causes random black screen crashes how do I fix this?

These crashes happen randomly, some days I get none at all some do it ever couple of hours. This mainly happens as I play a game but at times the screen turns black for a couple of seconds and I can still hear audio and when the screen comes back I either have to restart the game because the screen is paused on a frame but the audio is still playing or I'm able to continue the game like nothing happened, but discord crashes every single time and I have to open the app again. I haven't been able to undo the update and I don't want to fully restart my laptop as I have files on here I want to kee

Random Black Screen

Just upgraded to the current mobo, cpu and memory in my system. When I finished loading the mobo drivers, I went ahead and updated my catalyst drivers to 8.11. That's when I started getting random black screens every couple of minutes. *Confused System didn't restart, screen would just go black for a couple of seconds, then go back to normal. Did this randomly. Updated catalyst to 8.12 - same problems. *Wtf :wtf: Ran drivecleaner (whatever it's called, the one from guru3d), and reloaded the 8.12 drivers. Still no fix. Uninstalled the mobo drivers and cool n' quiet, rebooted, and attempted to reload these drivers. Get an error message stating amdk8.sys was missing. Got that file from Gilletter, put it in the proper location, rebooted, finished loading the drivers again, still have the same problem. *Bang Head :banghead:

Note that I was not having any problems prior to the upgrade. At that time I was running an MSI mobo with an Athlon 3200+ and 1GB Kingston pc2700 and Catalyst 8.6 drivers. Anyone have any suggestions?

Black screen after login in

You can try the following steps to fix black screen after login in caused by KB5022360:

1. Boot into Safe Mode
   
2. Uninstall the problematic update (KB5022360)
   
3. Restart your computer normally
   
4. Check if the black screen issue has been resolved.
