Windows 10: Android Word App link in document will not open PDF on mobile

Mobile: Motorola G8 PlusOS: Android 10I have a document on OneDrive which I open on my mobile with the Word app. The document has a link which, for an experiment, contains the pathname for a PDF in the downloads folder on the mobile. The PDF just a happened to be there so it seemed a fair idea to use that one as a test. I obtained the pathname from the Google files app and copied it to paste and then pasted into the link creator dialogue.On tapping the link I get the message"Can't open. Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

Ya'll are missing the original question

Word is not in the Open with selection list. He wants to add it to that specific .pdf Open with list.

 

Open pdf documents with 2 different applications

Right click on each specific App and choose the pdf from the jump list.

Regarding your PDF documents, the location will be based on where you saved the files. For your second inquiry, your documents can be converted to a PDF. If the original file is from Office Word, we suggest that you follow the steps below:
