Windows 10: Anker Soundcore 3 Bluetooth speaker identified as headset

I have an Anker Soundcore 3 Bluetooth speaker connected to my laptop. It is working, but is identifies as a headset rather than a speaker. This causes the speaker to have a little bit of "tin can" sound. When the speaker is connected to my phone, it does not have this problem. So the issue is with how the laptop is installing and recognizing the Bluetooth device. how can I fix this? I have added 3 images below show the speaker and recognition issues.

Bluetooth speaker displays as 2 different playback devices, only works in low quality audio.

My bluetooth speaker displays as 2 devices when connected via bluetooth, Headphones (Anker SoundCore Stereo) and Headset (Anker SoundCore Hands-Free AG Audio). Only the Headset option works and it plays the audio in very low quality. Selecting the Headphones
option plays no audio at all, even when volume and device volume is at max.

I have tried uninstalling the device but the issue persists. The speakers work fine on any other device.

 

Windows turns off Anker Bluetooth speakers after re-opening laptop lid

In this video you can see how the Anker SoundCore mini bluetooth speaker first works correctly.

Then I close the laptop's lid and wait some seconds.

Then I open the lid again.

First the combobox still says "Anker SoundCore", then it switches to "No audio devices found" and mutes the audio.

A few seconds, later it finds the bluetooth speakers again, but the sound is still muted.

This is not acceptable as I always have to unmute the audio.

I'm running Windows 10 with all updates.

In device manager, I don't see any power options for the bluetooth device, so there's no option to deactive "Windows can turn this device off".

 

Bluetooth Audio is Bugged in 1803

Same problem here. That really bugs me. Using Creative T30 speakers via Bluetooth and the symptoms are exactly the same. I get full volume unless I set volume to 0. Once I move the slider to 1 (or any other number) I get the full 100% volume and a beep with every step on the volume bar. I don't have these issues with my other Bluetooth speaker, an Anker SoundCore 2 which is also connected via Bluetooth.

Makes my Creative Speakers unusable :/

What I found out so far: when I adjust the volume of Chrome via the Volume Mixer separately; I can adjust the sound properly without problems.
