    OK I managed to fix the problem.

    Go to the folder -

    C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking

    And delete the contents. Do this for all of your PC's. Reboot them all. The original Homegroup has now gone and you will be able to create a new Homegroup.

    If you stop the 4 services on both pcs:
    Peer Name Resolution Protocol
    Peer Networking Grouping
    HomeGroupListener
    HomeGroupProvider

    and then delete the files that davefaz said to delete on both pcs and then restart the services, you can erase the homegroups without restarting your pc. Worked for me on 3 pcs after my main pc finally decided to update itself to the newest win 10 build last weekend. His fix works 100%, but I hate rebooting and just wanted to put this out there and tell him thank you because it was a combination of his fix and finding the listed services on another site that fixed mine.

    Anniversary Update ~ Homegroup Gone!

    I had to implement this as well after installing the AU on all my networked PCs. What a pain. Have to wonder what is wrong with MS when they break one of their touted functions in an OS update.

    Kind of surprised there isn't more uproar over this.
