    Annotating a PDF document with Surface pen


    I have been used to annotate my PDF documents by opening them in my Surface Book 2 using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017, and then simply using the Surface pen to anootate them.

    However, I realized today that I cannot write/draw on the PDF documents anymore. Touching the Surface screen with the pen only allows me to scroll the document, or mark it using Acrobat marker and the like, but I cannot draw or take annotations anymore.

    Can anybody help?

    I am using Windows 10 with all possible updates installed. The pen works perfectly in Word, Powerpoint, OneNote, and the like.

    Surface pro 3 pen wont write on PDF documents

    Original title: Surface pro pen

    Since installing Windows 10 my surface pro 3 pen is not able to write on PDF documents. They open in Microsoft edge and it won't allow writing. I had no problem with this in windows 8

    Cannot annotate PDF on My Surface Pro 5

    I cannot use annotate PDF on My Surface Pro 5 either i opened the files from Adobe Acrobat Pro DC or Microsoft Edge.

    But, my other user of Microsoft Surface can annotate PDF from the Microsoft Edge.

    Do you have a recommendation for us how to troubleshoot? Thanks

    Microsoft Edge PDF annotation

    With Windows 8.1 and the Surface Pro 3, I was able to annotate PDFs. What is the work around for Windows 10 since Edge does not annotate PDFs?
