Windows 10: Announcing October update for Office Mobile on Windows 10 devices

Hello everyone,

On October 18, we released an Office update 17.7466 (or higher) for Windows tablet and phone, now available for download from the Microsoft Store. To download the latest version of your Office Mobile apps, click the following links directly from your Windows device:

Get Word Mobile
Get Excel Mobile
Get PowerPoint Mobile

What's new in 17.7466?
The teams have been working on the following new features, that we're excited to share with you this month --

Chart Elements in Office Mobile apps* Now you can add or remove chart elements like titles, data labels, or legends. * This feature requires an O365 subscription.

Edit your charts in Word Mobile Change chart type, layout, color, or chart style all in Word Mobile.

Share an individual page with OneNote No need to share the whole notebook anymore. Send a viewing link to a single page of your choice and let others see it in a browser – no sign-in or app required.

Table shading available in OneNote* Give your tables a makeover by adding colorful shadings to cells, rows, or columns and make your tables easier to read. * only available on Windows tablet at this time.

Office Mobile 2007 availabliity

Yeah Microsoft had announced an update for viewing Office 2007 on Windows Mobile devices. I'll try to gather some info about that and get back to you.

Excel files won't open

Windows Mobile devices do not support Office 2007 files yet. You will need to save your files with the 2003 format and transfer to your phone. Microsoft has announced an update for Office 2007, but no release date.
