But first I want to time the initial install.

 

Well the restart after the update's didn't go well. I had two blue screens saying there was a problem with the restart.

The second one gave me a choice of either advance option's or restart.
Thankfully the last restart worked.

 

Hmm I guess perfect timing to boot into the TP preview machine today to have a look on a cold windy day. I'm curious though I thought the Threshold update was just around the corner, still updates on fast ring ... ... when are they going to fix the bugs listed on page 1 and update the RTM?

 

Yeah, I've had 2 BSODs, gunna give it one more go, otherwise I'll do a clean install later today.

 

Mine finally started downloading! I was moved back to the slow ring for some odd reason; once I clicked the fast ring, it took awhile, but now I'm getting it.

Downloaded... and my installation times with an ISO***this time I installed on my 2nd internal HDD instead so installation took longer***:



















maybe I'll try on my SSD tomorrow, and post those times too.

 

@Cliff S Are the ISOs out there, or did you just make it from the ESD?

For once this new build was available immediately upon starting the computer & checking for updates. *Smile

 

Ah, ok.

Still waiting for this build to pop up on my 32 bit tablet, so I was hoping the ISOs were out there somewhere.
