Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 11082

New Sony TV in here is doing a firmware update it downloaded right now dang thing has Sony /Google voice search & Opera browser,Sony/Android /Google custom OS and 205 apps and face detection if it doesn't see anyone in the room for 15 min it goes into standby & turns the screen ( LED's ) off it probably watches me too !
55" on a full motion wall mount I can point it to the desk here or watch it straight on at nite in here and pull it away from the wall with the ambient back light I put on it [on] it looks like it's floating in air in the dark . Makes a good PC extended screen also




It must be done it's booting up now . They can make all that work fine with ultra High definition , 2160p 4K P3 DCI ( theater color) and bt 2020 10 bit color and HDR with new models every year and MS can't even make a decent browser after 10 yrs of exploder and now edge and takes years to fix Windows ☻☻

 

Apart from being unable to choose picture on lock screen, and a little trouble getting speech recognition working again, have found that the O/S is running very smoothly.

 

lockscreen choices work here in the new build ,so far no significant faults (yet ) aside from the usual Edge trainwreck ☻☻

 

I stand corrected lockscreen is working, only way to find out is to restart.
What is not working is in Settings, Personalisation, Lockscreen, Choose Picture.....Preview is not working.
From a personal point of view Edge combined with Cortana and Bing does everything needed.

 

This is interesting: As I use Windows 10 Education and Enterprise on my physical machines but I also need the Pro ISO images in Finnish, Swedish, English and German, I use Hyper-V virtual machines to get the Pro upgrade builds, to be able to make the ISO images.

Yesterday evening my Finnish, Swedish and German Build 10586 virtual machines all found and got the 11082 upgrade. None of the English (UK and US) Build 10586 virtual machines got it. I stayed up all night trying every trick I know but both English versions refused to find the upgrade.

Out of personal interest I decided to test something else and installed the RTM Build 10240 x64 two hours ago on two new virtual machines, one for UK and other for US English. Both new virtual machines did first two rounds of Windows Updates restarting twice, then they both found the upgrade immediately. Yet the old existing UK and US English virtual machines can't find the upgrade.

Interesting, at least from my point of view. The same has happened with earlier build upgrades, too; Finnish, Swedish and German ones have been available usually latest an hour after Gabe's tweet *Wink but I always have to "fight" to get the English ones.

 

Few funny things that happened to me. Had trouble with Insiders settings, said something about security not right and looked like I was kicked out of Insiders but when I looked ~Bt... folder appeared and all was downloaded. Made ISO out of it and installed from it. Now I'm back at insiders again and on fast track.
It also told me that CPU_Z and HW monitor are not compatible but they do work without any intervention like before.
System protection aka. System Restore, turned off again, why oh why do they insist on turning it off ?

 

When copying certain things too it doesn't show the box saying it was copying.

PS: MS you're heading back into glitch no land.

 

I noticed that as well. That bug needs to be addressed and soon. Other than that it's working just fine.

well,
had to re-enter the Homegroup once again...and again only 2 pc-s (mine NOT included) show in the network.

So no, network problems are not over yet....

Furthermore i am waiting already for 10 minutes to be allowed in the Homegroup....

Why am i having a bad feeling about this?

ok, stopped the Homegroup from....doing nothing.

After 30 minutes.

Thanks to my shortcuts i can enter every pc and use other printers.

So nothing to worry about, but still, why do i have to enter the HOMEGROUP every time and why does it never work as should.

Same for the network
