Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14267

Really weird that some comps just don't want to update. Both, here, always get the update immediately it is available even though I am 'way down under'. Maybe the electrons run faster downhill!!

 

Nothing here yet as always from Nor Cal...

 

This is coming in in No Cal *here* specifically just right now .... s** that means I have to clean out the OLD windows folder *Tongue

I usually get the fast ring test builds in WU on mid to late Thurs. afternoons !

 

IIRC my transient error messages in the last few builds have been something about Chrome that otherwise works fine....... MS is probably harassing some of us that use Chrome for a default browser .

 

About 35 minutes for me. Restore off, created new one. Did the store app, checkup for updates, 2 in the que, they completed in about 5 seconds. (Xbox and Mail and Calendar) did a check again, they reappeared, this time they did the full install. Came back to the store, the 2 were there again, installed the full app. Now subsequent checks, they seemed to be satisfied. All else seems ok.

Only half of this PC is on the fast ring insider builds , the other 3 are running normally activated Windows 10 10586

 

I also see that transient error msg on both comps. Can't see what it says, though. Looked at event logs but couldn't see anything there.

 

I'll have to look again it shows up readable on this 27" 1440P screen and I have a 4K 55" Sony TV next to it in here on a full motion wall mount that would show it also if I switched main screens and put it on the PC /HDMI input . *Smile

As I said I have one computer updated - laptop. The desktop won't update! SOUTHERN CALIF -- both are on fast track, both on same internet connection but laptop is wi fi and desktop is Ethernet.

 

My 14267 D/L has been stalled at 1% for over two hours even if I close and re open the W U app no Windows $ BT folder on the c: drive yet either .

update : 14267 D/L is at 55% now and moving along normally . It won't be long at all now since it finally started maybe 10 min or just a few beyond that .*Smile

I have just installed from esd-iso created from my laptop, the new build on my desktop. Seems to work well. Anyone having problems when importing I.E. favorites to Edge with multiple empty folders being created? I noticed this with previous build, also.

 

Update went smoothly. No issues found.
