Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14328 for PC and Mobile

.For three days I have been attempting to get Insider Update 14316, now I see an announcement for Update 14328. My problem is over the same last three days I have gotten Windows' Update 14295 twice, along with three Defender Updates. Is there something wrong with my PC or is there something else going on. Why would I keep getting 14295

 

Are you in Slow ring maybe? Check the settings again and slide it slow, confirm and then back to fast.

I am attempting to update to build 14328 from 14316 but seem to be having an issue. The screen says:

preparing to install updates 100%

It's been there for over 30 minutes. I have no idea what to do at this point. Anybody have an idea?

 

I had a huge wait during the install for the 64-bit build than the x86 build which was on a much slower machine. I'd be patient at this point. Wait another 30 min, and report back...

 

I agree. Had a long time at 23 % before it finally continued

 

Did so...move to slow & reboot...move back to fast & reboot...checked it is on fast ring...NO DIFFERENCE IN UPDATE

 

is that for me Jeff...the other thing with the ESD didn't work but it could be me....pilot error

 

I could not upgrade with Windows Update. This same error was shown in UK English 14316 x64 Pro when trying to upgrade to 14328 (physical machine), in Finnish 14316 Pro x64 (physical machine), and US English 14316 Pro x64 (virtual machine):




Luckily, the workaround is easy: At this point Windows had already extracted the upgrade files; I simply grabbed the install.esd from C:\$WINDOWS.~BT folder, created an ISO and upgraded with it:

 

Have you been offered current version in today's download? Some of us wait for days or even weeks for a download.

 

Downloaded and installed. They made Cortana even more invasive than ever! So far I can't turn Cortana off and just have the Search box as I prefer. Had to wade thru umpteen categories in the Cortana Notebook to turn off all of those stupid "cards". Ugh!

I asked Cortana how I could disable it. Told me to go to the Notebook tab and turn off Cortana there except there is no place in the Notebook to turn it off.

 

every update until (14316 which i still haven't gotten) came on the day it was announced

 

The "Preparing to Install Updates 100%" screen changed after 10 minutes to a screen that has the caption "Update status". I have gone back to the check for updates screen and keep getting the same message.

Very strange!
