Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14342 for PC

Up and running. no problems so far.

Feedback hub is installed and working, also Explorer is now pinned back to taskbar.

System tab in settings is somehow rearranged, or do I just have this feeling?
I have projecting to this PC now (wasn't here before), but it isn't working (yet).

 

New "Use my sign in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update" setting in Windows Update advanced options.

That feature should also be added to clean installation so that we don't have to manually customize settings during clean installation. Just sync from account.

The Feedback Hub app has been somewhat flaky here for several builds. I would launch it, get a blue window, with window titlebar, controls and all, and... nothing else. If I quit the window and immediately started up Feedback again, it came up as though nothing ever happened.

When you say 'not working', what exactly do you mean?

 

This was happening to me two builds back. It behaves very well for me in last build *Smile

Just noticed strange time stamps of this build's files. We got this too soon *Smile

 

downloaded and installed the update 14342 in 1hr 30mins
touch pad driver not working as usual and reinstalled the driver that works
recovery had to be switched on again
so far every thing else seams to be working

OK, used the ESD to make an iso and did an in-place reinstall and now I have something that calls itself "Feedback Hub" but is 8kb in size...*Wink

 

You know, I've been in this business for over 35 years, and I've seen some strange twists and turns in the tech. But I never thought I'd see the day when one would download software and wait for it to hydrate, like Sea Monkeys or something... And yet, here we are!
