Good! I'm delighted for your sake because it is a definite annoyance to have an update lockup at 75% complete...!.....Grrrrrr--r-r-r-rr....Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14376 for PC and Mobile ;) I've had it happen at 90%+, too--and that is infuriating...Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14376 for PC and Mobile ;) Not often, though, thankfully. (I keep smiling, though, as I tend to get a bit melodramatic about these things sometimes.) It's been great not to have to turn off secure boot these last few builds, though. It was my last resort, really, if I couldn't get a build to install--if that didn't work then it was making an ISO myself and upgrading that way. There are so many possible unique hardware configurations in the world--probably nearly as many as there are individual human beings running them, I'd imagine--the driver and hardware variations are enormous--and it's Microsoft's job to try and write code that runs on everything--every one of those configurations. If I have bugs and other people don't--that's just the way the computer crumbles--and sometimes it's the opposite with people having problems I don't experience. The joys of beta testing, eh?

What I suspect (as I only do upgrades--no clean installs) is that some of the flight upgrade files downloaded from Microsoft before my attempt to install them were being corrupted in some fashion not obvious to me, as I have had more than one case of a failed "flight" upgrade through WU but then was able to create an ISO (from the .esd that I got from WU) and do my own local upgrade from the ISO--which would go just fine..! Anyway...it sure looks like everything is coming together here in the final month before the official commercial Anniversary release...but as I say that is only from my limited perspective, of course. I would hope that everyone is having an easier time of it as we close on the release date!

And then...what? I told myself that I'd get off the Insiders' whirlwind--but I can't...Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14376 for PC and Mobile ;) It's stimulating to bug-hunt beta software--especially Windows. If I got out of the program then I'd constantly experience a feeling of "being left behind"...heh...Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14376 for PC and Mobile ;)...and I prefer "riding the wave" and so on...Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14376 for PC and Mobile ;)

How do you attach a mouse and keyboard with only one micro USB port? Do they make a micro splitter to two female USB connectors? I have a micro to usb adapter that I just used to reinstall 8.1 from the Venue 8 recovery flash drive. That worked well. Now I'm in the process of downloading Windows 10 TH2 10586 again.

Mean time I'll see if I can find a micro to dual USB adapter.

Edit: Found a Micro to dual USB 2.0 at Amazon Prime.

For just to download and install chipset drivers you can manage quite well with mouse alone using on-screen keyboard. Have done that often.

I have a USB to four USB box that I have had "forever". Comes in handy sometimes.

Clarification of my earlier post on connecting USB devices to a Dell Venue 8 Pro. I use the Dell Micro USB Dongle for Data and Charging (Model XGJT2) available thru Dell for $19.99. To that I attach a Sabrent 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub with Individual Power Switches and LEDs (Model HB-UMLS) available thru Amazon for $6.99. This allows me to power the tablet while attaching up to four USB devices. Very handy for a clean install since touch and Bluetooth are not available. USB boot stick on one port with USB mouse and keyboard on other ports.

Thankfully, I don't have your problem, but I thought I'd add a tidbit . . . I have the Logitech wave keyboard/mouse combo, and use one dongle for both of them.
