Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14971 for PC

Installed on both laptop and Desktop. Seems good. Notice that Sticky Notes asking me to update and I will do shortly. Looking Good so far --- I noted in opening notations that things may pop up ---- hope not.

 

I just got home and I'm downloading it now.

 

OMG! I forgot to copy the install.esd before I started the install process! Dang nab it! Now I have two new installs with no install.esd to make an iso file!

 

I forgot the last time. This time I already have File Explorer open and in view so I don't forget.

 

Downloading Now....

Edit: Another install flight upgrade through WU that went perfectly without a hitch! Microsoft is beginning to spoil me, I'm afraid. No problemos so far...

That is so true. *Smile I have my Install. ESD saved and getting ready to restart.

 

good luck - so far no glitches, so maybe I won't need to do clean install. If I do, I'm out of luck till the next build.

Anybody else get stuck at 95%?

 

I was stuck at 91% on my laptop for a long time, then finally finished. So, let it be for a while!

 

It was zipping right along until it got to 95%. The HDD light occasional flashes so I know it's doing something.

Edit: Jumped to 100% right after posting and now is installed. *Smile

 

Maximise/Restore down button still not fixed in this iteration....have posted M$ again.

 

are you referring to fact that when you open an app it is full screen in the 'restore down' mode? I have noticed I have to drag apps around and manually make them smaller to my liking so that they are really 'restored in down' position.
