Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15055 for PC and Mobile

This is 10th UUP upgrade, 3rd that does not allow making ISO. I have nothing else to say, no tools, no workarounds other than getting ESD upgrade instead.

I'm completely in accord with JLG's post. I'm glad I seem to have induced M$ to fix one glaring error - the time sync problem. I use SuMO to keep all my software current and am using the Beta releases of FF and Chrome among other betas. Perform a system backup which includes both Windows 10 and Windows Server 2106 (I've decided not to fight with BCD and using BTBM to boot either Windows or openSUSE Tumbleweed). This means some extra boots to get to Windows Server 2016 but that is OK since I have 2 VMware WS 12.5.3 (latest release) Windows 10 VMs as well as 2 Virtualbox 5.16 (latest release) Windows 10 VMs. I autostart one VMware and one Virtualbox VM Using a Hyper-V VM in Windows 10 and I will autostart that after updating to build 15055. One openSUSE Tumbleweed I'm now running kernel 4.11 RC1 and can only compile Virtualbox 5.16. So this is my test system. On my HP server , the host is Windows Server 2016 essential and I have 1 VMware and 1 Virtualbox Windows 10 VM. Most of the VMs are activated. I've been beta testing PC software since the early '90's.

Wow. Yeah, OK, I'm not testing to help M$ improve their OS at all and you are. Brilliant deduction. Hope you don't work for Scotland Yard.

UUP to ISO converters by Both Adguard and Abbodi1406 still work to make ISOs *Wink Well at least on the WZor AIO

 

Downloading now. Must have dozed off for several hours and forgot to look for new build. Been reading all the posts so far while I download.

 

Completed the download and install in about 30 minutes with no obvious hiccups. Seems to be working fine other then the ability to create an ISO.

Installed on both laptop and desktop. On desktop, missing weather app. Uninstalled and reinstalled from store. Working fine. Other apps are OK so far as I have tested. Calendar, mail, people all working. OOOPS. Spoke too soon. My Sticky Notes application is working, but all previous notes related to each build ---GONE.

Second consecutive UUP upgrade from previous build that ran flawlessly from start to finish in ~35 minutes. Smooth upgrade from 15048 through WU. Nice, so far, nothing to complain about--yet!

 

This build was already downloaded and waiting for a restart when I got home. The only problem so far was with the weather app. It wouldn't launch so I by fixed it by reinstalling.

 

It's spooky, I wake up the computer and for the third time now, it is already booted up to the new build. Change a few font sizes and I'm done.

BTW, I can finally turn on GAME MODE and play World of Warcraft. Whatever Game Mode is. I will have to read about it someday *Wink
