    Downloaded 16226 on my hyper V machine...awaiting restart so I restarted but booted into installed version: 16215. Its done this a half dozen times...not much experience of virtual machines, any ideas?

    Virtual machines work and act as any physical machine. How / from where did you restart? Did you make an ISO and try upgrading from it?

    Restarted from prompt box within settings>windows update inside virtual machine. Updated from within the VM as per any normal update...no ISO

    See post #24, #25 and #26. Lots of people downloaded 16215 so many times with failure and I suspect you may have corrupted windows update engine. By running @Brinks tutorial and following his directions you may be able to successfully update your build. Good luck.

    Screenshot from a VMware WS VM updating to build 16226 (I called the build*Biggrin). It was at 75% when I first noticed this early evening post. But I see nothing about WSL. I'll check that first thing and upload an anticipated error).

    I'm at Installing: 55% and progressing smoothly...Nothing in the fix notes about fixing d3d backwards-compatibility bugs, but that doesn't mean they haven't fixed it, of course...hope so...
