Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16232 PC + 15228 Mobile

I wondered that too. Just tried writing to my folder protected images using Picasa and that was OK. No surprise but had to check!

Added my NAS Public folder as well in the hope that would provide some protection for backups etc.

 

I've been waiting for this build to download for 2 hours now, and "Downloading updates" just dropped from 81% back down to 23%, so I'll probably be waiting a couple more.

 

Mine took almost 2 hours to install, all the apps were messed up. I gave them their feedback and imaged it till the next "build" comes around.

 

1hr 10 min download 23 minutes install. No problems...so far!

I'm not sure how much this helped but I uninstalled Malwarebytes and turned off Fast Start Up before the download.

 

Getting this result repeatedly. I've tried different ways to work around this but they have failed. If somebody has successfully created an ISO and wishes to share it I'd really appreciate it.

I'd appreciate an ISO as well, if someone happens to have one and wants to share. Never mind. Found one.

Feedback posted.

ha20x2k.sys appears to be a Creative File, I have an X-Fi Elite sound card, which was distorting yesterday, so I re-installed the Creative software. I'll try deleting that software and start the upgrade process later.

 

Not sure if it's my machine or what, but 16232 does not show in Installed Update History and it did not go into my download file.�� Like to have it for an ISO backup.


Edit: OOOPS!! Forgot about starting the ISO before install...daaah!

And Im on a newer ASUS Rog.

 

That took an age and a day. Four hours in total but two or even greater were taken up in moving from 75% to 100%.

 

Can you elaborate, Josey? How were they messed up?

 

I have made an ISO, now to Restart.

 

Had to step out this evening, but finally got 'er done including ISO. *Smile

 

Well, all that hullaballo to get the upgrade, and gaming is still borked. Just filed feedback and rolling back to the CU now.

 

Can I get the iso when you have time? Thanks so much.
