What steps do you do in your tidy-ups?

 

Tweaks to settings like text. Disk Cleanup. Optimize. General cleanup. Poke around for obviously broken things. Backup. Other odds & ends.

 

Mine has been stuck at 97% for past 45 minutes ???

Interesting that on one computer, one email account was deleted, on one, all email accounts intact. My third computer, like me, is slow, old and still not completed yet.

 

Yes, that means you take a break and let the d/l continue, no matter how long it takes!

 

Began at 1300 Hours to usable Desktop at 1445 that is 1 hour and 45 minutes kind of long but it was the first RS3 build that I was able to install with WU. No errors no GSOD's and No BSOD's. I still have to see if I can awake this PC from sleep mode.

 

Have had to use ISO's for pre

vious two builds but NOT this one.

 

Mobile came down fine..
PC is at the 77% staging post..

 

Nick, forgot 2 important ones if you use an SSD.

Stop and disable Superfetch in services.

Zap the hiberfil.sys file (kills hibernation and Fast Startup) with powercfg -h off at admin cmd prompt.

 

Mine seemed to stall at the same points as everyone else but not long enough to bother me.

 

Well, this was painless, already all cleaned up and my "Specials" applied. This UUP may even amount to something. Didn't take too long to apply update 5 minutes or so but sound cut of just as Maverick and Goose were singing "She lost that lowing feeling" on TV and that scene was best part of whole movie.

 

Mobile has downloaded and just installing.

 

That went well. Never did time it this time. So far, so good.
