I had MBAM 3.4 running too. No problems. But it's beta on beta, so anybody's guess. If it worked for ya, that's all that counts.

  3. Hesitant to install this build, No one here seems to overclock and since 17074 overclocking has not worked for me all the way up to build 17604.

I forgot that I had turned Web Protection off because of a problem on the previous Insider build. I just turned it back on.

The last two builds have been no go for me because of the boot loop bug. Hoping this one works. Will turn off fast boot though.

I have turned of fast boot on all my pc's and VMs, OFF, a while ago.
They all run on either M.2 or SATA SSDs and boot fast enough, but turning it off, allows Windows to do any changes to PendingFileRenameOperations , and update the registry, that are needed, and greatly improves system stability.

I have, through MY experience on different machines, fast boot to be digital voodoo trash, and restricts the ability of both Windows and 3rd party software to update any files between normal boots(as opposed to having to do a restart).

  12. Finally I got my VMs upgraded from 17093.1000. Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast Build 17107 - Feb. 23 :)

I don't know what MS changed but my Skip Ahead installation now also want to go straigt from 17083 to 17604. Previously it wanted to put 17093. Go figure. Upgrade looking good so far.

Makes me wonder, why does disabling the hiberfile completely, solve the Windows setup issues? I mean, what is the point in having Fast Startup add complexity and reduced reliability to the upgrade or install process, when it is totally useless during setup in the first place?

Makes absolutely NO sense to me.

It always seems to re-enable hiberfil.sys - just one of those settings that are reset I guess. I turn it off after every upgrade.

The error you got for powercfg -h off is because you are using standard cmd prompt. What do you get if you try elevated? It works for me OK.

I think someone has me blocked lol.
