Discus and support Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast Build 17110 - Feb. 27 in Windows 10 News to solve the problem; I can confirm that one. Just a placeholder on the quick launch area. Hover over or right click the "empty" space, and you see "store", but you go... Discussion in 'Windows 10 News' started by Brink, Feb 26, 2018.

I didn't have that problem, the Store works as usual but, as another user said before, the sleep problem persists, I didn't expect them to solve it in this build because Microsoft has just begin to investigate this issue, that can be inferred by looking at some of the answers they give on Twitter.

the store and its app tile do not work on either of my computers. Will check the laptop when it finishes installing.

I tried to reset the store app. It said it was reset but now it is totally missing from desktop and apps listing

Also noted that store app, which is pinned to taskbar is missing from taskbar.

Now I've had a GSOD blaming mwac.sys. Turned off Web Protection in Malwarebytes, and set it to never register in the Action Center, to see if that will make any difference

I got my Dell XPS 2720 updated without difficulty, and the Venue Pro 11 is 52% complete on "Working on updates" right now. So far, so good. I'll follow up if anything odd comes up, but these last-minute 1803 previews seem to be increasingly more stable.
    Best wishes,
    --Ed--

PS (added 11 hrs later): Everything went fine with both updates performed. The i5 unit (Venue Pro) took quite a while to complete the install, though the prep and download phases went pretty quickly.

Finally finished install on my old, old portable. Two desktops did not display the store, but the old, old desktop has store functioning well as always. GO FIGURE.

Both of mine are different with the Store, one with no icon on the Taskbar [but can be restored by Pinning from Start to the Taskbar] and the other with only black/fake icon where the Store icon should be but only opens to a brief flash.

  11. Just realized that I am also having the same overclocking issue as one of the prior posts on the 17107 thread.

Task manager is being wonky with the clock speed and OC isn't correctly shown in CPU-Z either (should say 4.3 Ghz NOT 3999.07 Mhz).

This doesn't happen in the stable version of Windows 10.

    Information
Here is the solution for repairing Microsoft Store App

In order for easy copy paste, I broke down the commands into smaller pieces.

    STEPS
Open Powershell (open as elevated (Run As Admin) )

Type the following in order in PowerShell:
    Code: PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted[/quote] Code: $rp = "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\"[/quote] Code: $pn = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore)."PackageFullName"[/quote] Code: $mf = "\AppxManifest.xml"[/quote] Code: $manifest = $rp + $pn + $mf[/quote] Code: Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest[/quote]

    Reboot computer

To verify all works, press Windows Key and type Store. Wait for search to find Microsoft Store and press ENTER.

    Voilá! Store working again!

Update: There exist another solution at Windows blogs that many report as working solution. However that solution did not work for me since it uses the InstallLocation variable, which was missing completely for me.

Never decided to test this, but I tried to boot from the 17110 ISO that I created with Rufus and I can't get to the setup page at all.

    This is what I get:

  14. What tool did you use to create the Actual ISO? You need an updated tool that puts right bits in right places.

You can still use that ISO, you just need to open up the console (found under the troubleshoot button), navigate to D: (or whatever is assigned for your boot media) and then run Setup.exe from there.

  15. I used the UUPtoISO tool from Kari from here. I don’t think it is the most recent version. If not, I will use the latest version and post an update on this thread.

Thanks for the suggestions. Didn’t realize the UUPtoISO tool could be causing this issue.
