Did you run update before doing the iso creation?

  2. Just came off of re-boot...checked WU with Windows Update Mini-tool and lo and behold...17650 showed up, at least in WUMT's interface. Clicked "Download" and am now waiting for the DL to complete...will report back if this method works. Then, will make an ISO with UUPtoISO.

I have to say, an issue like this looks like incompetence.
How the hell do you break something so basic?!!!

    • Using arrow and Page Up / Page Down keys doesn’t work to scroll webpages in Microsoft Edge. You’ll need to use another input method (mouse, touch, or touchpad).

Yes - have had issues once or twice - usually all goes well.

  5. Windows Update Mini-tool finished 17650's download...copied the path from "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\5599118dd79e2891919b6d0dd20b2d91" to UUPtoISO and am now just finished running that. New/same error..."Missing File"...but at least now it's a different file named as missing. Gonna hit the mini-dump again and see what happens.

All methods of scrolling do work on internet explorer, as usual, pageup, pagedown, up down keys, mouse. I don’t use Edge, so can’t comment.

  10. Finally got an ISO made from files downloaded via Windows Update in the Software Distribution folder.

The "Skippy" reg hack worked fine to re-activate the Skip Ahead status for my laptop and downloaded the update files just fine and UUPtoISO worked a treat (as always) to create my 17650 ISO for creation of a new Hyper-V VM.

Will try the mini-dump method later tonight or early tomorrow to see if all the files are finally available there.

Good luck to anyone else jumping through similar hoops to get hold of 17650. *chuckle

Only 2 minor issues, so far....

    1) Storage>Free up Space Now is DOA, greyed out and just sits there. Did the old fashion way...

    2) Task Manager settings were completely fubared! Had to manually re-set all the columns I had set months ago, and saved registry settings via export.

Other than that, it's gotten sluggish and tired feeling. All normal.... *sarc

Mine took the usual 3 hours on my Skip Ahead partition but this time it took way shorter in the setup/download/install period and way longer in the post-reboot period.
