Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Slow Build 16296 for PC

I've already tried the Retry, so I'll wait to see if there's a workaround.

 

I had that once and the reboot fixed it. It wanted to install an Intel update that got in the way I believe.

 

Forced Nvidia driver update to 378.63 isn't showing up for me in Windows Update anymore, thankfully.

 

Geez, I think I may wait for a build or two, unless a huge bug update/significant feature or change comes out. I just installed 16294 yesterday.

 

It is proving difficult to do an update from 16278 to 16296. 2 failed attempts in the Hyper-V VM so far. Now it at 0% downloading.

Good thing it's a VM still at 0% downloading I think I will blow this away now and try it again using VMware Tech Preview on Windows Server 2016.

 

Hate to say it for I know that there are a lot of Hyper-V fans but the VMware Tech Preview 2017 (free until the end of the year) beats it hands down. Among other reasons Cortana listens better under this program than natively - and of course Hyper-V has no sound until you able to remote to it. Anyway here we go again. Let's see if this works to update to 16296.0

Now at 43 % Downloading. Test 32-bit Mozilla Nightly - amazingly fast. I will use the 32 bit version on Windows 10 and Debian

Took something like 3 hours this time as opposed to the 5 hours for 294. I wonder why the difference.

You should really look into this site. uuptoisosetup.exe passes the Edge scan and I personally think it's OK ....

You should really try to understand what has been told to you several times in different threads: those are false positives, and I am working on it.

You should also read the tutorial thread and post your concerns there, instead of posting about this same topic everywgere else but the tutorial in question. Here's an extract of my recent post in tutorial:

The furious pace they are describing is for real. Whether or not the present upgrade to 16296.0 works 16296.1 was uploadedd to buildfeed 4 hrs later.
I'm definitely going to wait for a 17xxx build to upgrade my physical machine.

 

watermark and 'evaluation copy expiry time limit are back in this build.....16296.1 not yet showing in update.

 

Just wait for 16296.1 which was compiled 4 hours later. Dona spoke true when she said theywould be very busy.
