  1. Annoying Audio Problem for the past 3 years on multiple PCs

So the problem started around September 2019 iirc when my windows 10 updated from 1809 to 1903. Before the update the volume was fine. Good bass and volume on my speakers/headphones in games, browsing videos, etc. After the update I noticed my bass became flat and the audio became inconsistent. For example, some videos would sound more quiet while others sounded way louder for no reason, in a game characters' voices would sound very low but explosions, gunshots, etc would be overly loud. In other games the overall sound would just be low with no bass, there's no rhyme or rhythm to the issue. At the time I reverted the update and everything went back to normal. Unfortunately at one point I was forced to update to 1903 and lost the ability to revert back. I tried everything I could've thought of at the time and nothing worked, so I thought the problem was the pc itself.

Got a new PC right out of the box, same problem. Tried updating the audio drivers and nothing worked. Same issue with a laptop I bought as well. At this point I thought this was normal now and just lived with it. Unfortunately it became difficult to play games that are dependent on sound direction and other things, I installed a generic audio driver from Windows 10 and turned on loudness equalization and while that did help a bit, I could definitely tell it wasn't the same at all. because depending on how loud something was, it would turn down the volume for a few seconds before turning it back up and that itself was pretty annoying.

Got another new PC later on (which is my current PC) because I was having some bad issues on the old one (minus the audio troubles) and yet again, the problem persists. I feel like I've tried everything possible with no solutions at all. At this point I have no idea if it's my fault, an audio drivers fault, or if Windows is at fault in someway. Does anyone have a solution to this? I would GREATLY appreciate it. I just want to put an end to this issue and have the old audio I remember having back.

Thank you in advance for anyone willing to help.

Hi there SimonWildZX, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

May I suggest to completely uninstall all Audio drivers listed in the Device manager including the headset. Please make sure to completely remove.

Here is how to do it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound and Audio devices. Right-click the problematic device and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You may need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

    Step 5. Reboot the computer.

Repeat the steps in all the Audio devices listed.

Then reboot. then test the headset again.
