Is it possible to easily setup Raid-1 on this system ?

Get the six core CPU's I listed, at 3.3Ghz per core they will more than handle any calculations you throw at them for years to come, and with matching RAM in tri channel you will have a very strong setup.

My only other suggestion is a full RAID card like the one I listed with SSD's (in RAID 1)for the OS and programs, and then a RAID 5 array for backup and any large files on the board with a offsite final backup

    Windows 10 Home & Raid 1 Setup

    Hello Dave

Your suggestion of looking at the BIOS prompted me to dig a little deeper in to setting up the RAID 1 configuration. Initially, I couldn't get the new hard drive to format and when I went into the BIOS I didn't have any options for setting up the RAID 1
configuration which stopped my progress. Once I was able to get the new hard drive formatted, I was able to go back into the BIOS and select the appropriate settings to configure the RAID 1 setup.

It looks as if I was successful at getting the RAID 1 setup and working.

    Thank you for your help.

    Take care,

    Phil

  4. Annoying message to setup the RAID drive

What's the best solution for a reliable RAID 1 setup

If you are not too concerned about having the OS drive as part of the raid the storage spaces is the way to go.

I suggested this due to your previous drive failure.

If you setup RAID using the BIOS then windows update should never touch that, it’s almost at the hardware level and is completely OS independent.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
