Windows 10: Annoying Microsoft Store Problem.

Hello, a problem with the Microsoft store has come up after I purchased Forza Horizon 4.


The problem I am having is the game simply will not install. There are no error messages that pop up, nor does Microsoft store freeze, it just does not work. Essentially, I would click the install button, it would prompt me with what drive I would like to install the game on, and poof, literally nothing happens; and I would much rather not waste $30 on a game I cannot even install.


I have wanted Horizon 4 for a while now, and upon the store not working I have scouted many websites and posts about how to fix this problem with 0 luck. I have tried the following:

• Restarting my computer at least 458^76 times;
• Tried the wsreset command it did not work as intended, because it never closed and the Microsoft store never opened;
• Tried running the troubleshooter, but it said I had no problems on my hands even though I know I do;
• Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft store;
• Tried resetting the store in the settings menu;
• Tried erasing the temporary files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore and C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download;
• Tried checking for Windows updates, however, it was stuck on an infinite loading screen;
• Tried using powershell to re-register the store using this command: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$$_.InstallLocation\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose }
• Tried signing in and out of the store multiple times;
• Tried removing extra devices that were linked to the store;

I might have missed a few potential solutions, so that is why I am here wholeheartedly asking for some support and a possible fix to this annoying issue.

• Check for
  connection problem.
• Check if you have the correct time and location settings. Go to Settings
  > Time & Language.
• Reset Microsoft Store cache:
  

• Press Windows + R keys to launch the run command box.
• Type WSReset, then try launching Microsoft and sign in.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

Do let us know the exact issue you are facing in accessing the Windows Store?

Have you tried to reset the Windows Store as stated in the above response?

If the issue still persists after deploying the above troubleshooting steps, try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
and check.

1. Press
Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on Control Panel.

2. In the
Control Panel window, select Category and then select
Large icons.

3. Click on
Troubleshooting.

4. Click
View all and then click Windows Store Apps.

5. Click
Next and follow on-screen instructions.

Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
