    Another BSOD DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Well I thought I was out of the woods with this computer recently. A bios update fixed many of the issues I have been having with this computer regarding bluescreens and what not. But today while the computer was just sitting idle I noticed it just randomly bluescreen again. I know it has something to do with tcpip.sys but that is where my understanding ends.

Edit: forgot to mention I ran windows memory diagnostic which came up no errors

    :)

My computer doesn't have Killer wifi. I think it's called qualcomm atheros QCA9377 wireless. I have all the latest drivers that I can get from driverbooster (not sure how much I trust driverbooster). It's from october 27 2016 I did recently update to the creators update. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. The BSODs seem to happen about once every month or so. So finding the real solution could be slow going.

Will try rolling back driver tonight

  6. Hi,

Ok maybe its not a Killer (but killer uses Qualcomm chips on their cards). But everything I found point to the driver for the wifi card.

I have the latest driver for the wifi so should I roll back to a previous version from that?

Well I rolled back to the august 2016 driver. I actually downloaded the one from the acer site too which is from may 2016 but it wouldn't let me install it saying there was a "better" driver already installed. I just did the choose from a list of drivers currently on your computer and there was the current driver and another one the other option was one from august 2016 so I used it. I really won't know if this issue is fixed for some time though as this sort of thing only happens roughly every month. Non the less when it happens and takes me by surprise it's very annoying.

Edit: I wonder if it is best to only use the drivers provided on the acer site for the exact model of computer

In my experience, yes, especially with laptop/notebook/tablet computers. The OEM drivers (in your case, from acer) are chosen to be compatible with the power schemes of those systems, so other drivers may cause conflicts based on what the hardware is trying to do to manage its power settings. Just my 2 cents.
