Windows 10: Another DVD Player Question

Looking for a simple dvd player for new version of windows10, was using media center in build 10240 but lost it in new build.I want a player that will play entire dvd and all previews on dvd, is there such a thing. God I miss windows7 media player, was so simple to use.

I have the same problem as Carlo and here are my answers to the questions.

1. Windows downloads and installs updates automatically. There was an update recently. No new applications installed.

2. No error code or messages. DVD player closes and shows the desktop. If I start by putting the DVD in, then DVD player opens briefly for a second or so then closes again. If I start by opening DVD player with no DVD in the drive then it says "To play something,
insert a DVD." I insert the DVD, some dots start to move along the bottom of the screen for about a second, then DVD player closes.

3. Yes tried another DVD and it did not play. (Audio CDs play OK using Windows Media Player.)

4. Windows 10 Version 1607 (OS build 14393.953)

I still didnt get a reply to my question, why the windows DVD player dont work properly, and is there another App that may work?

Do you still have the link to restore WMC ?
If yes, restore it. It's a pain, I know.
Last time people gave you suggestions to alternatives, did you try them out ?

Adding. ...... I still don't understand you are against using VLC media player.

 

I did try and restore WMC, can not get it to restore.

I also download VLC and installed , but can't make it play the reviews at front of DVD? What
I mean by reviews is up coming movies on the dvd.

 

You are right. can't restore WMC either. Ran through the steps, nothing happened.

I don't have a Movie dvd with reviews to try out.

 

You might try the player at this site. not sure if it's what you are looking for but I like it better than WMC.
